Crag Lea is a lovely Edwardian House perched high up on Clay Head, Baldrine, above Garwick Bay and overlooking Laxey Bay. This 5 Star Gold award winning bed and breakfast has been sympathetically modernised and extended over the years to include all the comforts of a contemporary, luxurious home from home. Set in an acre of garden, there are terraces from where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view. The location is perfect for walkers, cyclist, and bikers, or those who just want a peaceful location, not too far from Douglas, Laxey or the back roads to the Mountain section of the TT course. We have generous, safe, off road parking for several vehicles.
From the house, within minutes, you can walk to the top of Clay Head from where you can see the spectacular coast line to the north of the Island and the Maugold Lighthouse. On a clear day you may even see the Cumbrian Mountains and the coast line of Dumfries and Galloway. If you wish, stroll on a little further taking in the lakes in the Ballanette Nature Reserve, if you are feeling really energetic, carry on to visit the beautiful Lonan Old Church with its Celtic Crosses.
Baldrine Village is situated on the East Coast and is just a 10 minute drive from the Sea terminal, or centre of Douglas. Laxey is 2 miles away home to the world's largest waterwheel. From the village centre you can take the tram to the summit of Snaefell. Just a short 10 minute walk from the house you will find both bus and tram stops.
