Peel New Year's Day Dip

Event: Jump into the sea at Peel beach on New Year's Day to help raise funds for

Event: Oliver Twist is performed at the Gaiety Theatre.
Sporting and Dining Club: Hilary Devey Talk
When: 26 January 2012
Where: Mount Murray Hotel & Country Club, Santon
Event: Award-winning entrepreneur Hilary Devey (founder of the The Pall-Ex Group)
will hold a guest talk along with dinner at the Mount Murray Hotel & Country
Club. She is currently starring on BBC's Dragon Den. There will be an auction, supporting
a local charity.

The Next Big Thing Finale
When: 28 January 2012, 7.30pm
Where: Gaiety Theatre, Douglas Promenade
Event: This is the right opportunity for 11- to 17-year-olds to take over the stage
and win £500 cash or £250 for the second prize. The winner will also
perform as the opening act for 'The Gleek Club' in March 2012. After the auditions
in November and December 2011 and the semi-final on December 11, the finalists will
show their talent on this day.

Isle of Man Darts Festival

Event: TV darts stars compete for a £22,000 prize.
Gleek Club Concert
When: 24 March 2012, 7pm

Event: West End performers present a show including the popular songs from the Hit
TV show Glee.

Event: This special train ride from Douglas to Castle town is held in a wizardry

Event: This special train ride from Douglas to Castle town is held in a wizardry

Easter Athletics Festival
When: 6 – 8 April 2012, 7pm
Event: The Easter Athletics Festival comprises a 10km road race starting on 7pm
at 6 April at Shore Road, Port Erin, the Peel Hill Race at 2.15pm at the House of
Manannan on Saturday 7 April and the 5km distance race which starts at Douglas Promenade
at 10.15am on Sunday April 8.
Easter Festival of Plays
When: 7 – 13 April 2011
Where: Gaiety Theatre, Harris Promenade
Event: A play competition held by teams from all over the British Isles.
The Grumbleweeds

Event: The Model Boat Festival is held at Onchan Park on Saturday and at Silverdale

there is an open air reading of the laws in Manx and English. Roads are closed from

World Tin Bath Championship

Event: The World Tin Bath Championships are held at the Middle Harbour. Roads close

Transport Festival

Event: The 5-day festival features vintage transport, such as steam and electric

Event: The Southern District Agricultural Show combines livestock, horses, trade
